Larger softboxes and umbrellas are often more sensitive to wind than one might expect, and light stands can tip over more easily than you’d think. In such situations, a sandbag is a lifesaver!

The Hensel sandbag can be folded up for transport, making it easy to pack and store. On location, its two side compartments can be filled with sand, gravel, or similar small-grained material (up to a maximum of 6 kg), allowing you to adjust the weight as needed.

The compartments feature double Velcro closures, which ensure that even fine-grained filler material stays securely inside. If you are using very fine sand, it is advisable to place it in plastic bags first before putting it into the sandbag’s compartments.

Attaching the sandbag is incredibly simple: you can place it directly onto a light stand, hang it using the integrated carabiner, or suspend it via the sturdy metal eyelet - all these options are possible.
