Background Systems
Only steel is the real deal - or simply put, the best background system on the market.
Our STH steel-core systems offer the only background solution that reliably prevents your backdrop from sagging (and thus developing ripples) over the long term, while ensuring smooth winding without slippage.
Our special tensioning mechanism holds the roll's cardboard core securely and reliably on the steel shaft -even with 3.55-meter-wide paper rolls - regardless of whether you choose a chain-drive or motorized system.
It is also suitable for use with vinyl, canvas, or Molton backdrops.
Motorized Systems
For all standard background rolls, we offer steel axles equipped with top-quality tubular motors from European partners. This ensures smooth, reliable operation when raising and lowering your backgrounds over many years. The wired remote control allows for precise positioning, while the motors' adjustable limit switches prevent unwanted mishaps - especially with wide backgrounds.
These systems are available in widths of 2.90 and 3.60 meters, designed for wall or ceiling mounting of three rolls. A mobile solution is also available if you need to use your backgrounds in different locations within the studio.
Manual Chain Drive
For the 2.90 meter and 3.60 meter widths, we also offer manual systems featuring a chain drive. In these systems, we have replaced all parts subject to heavy mechanical stress with metal components to ensure maximum durability. The core of the axle is made of steel, and we use metal for the chains as well - ensuring reliable, rapid operation. We offer standard systems for three rolls designed for wall or ceiling mounting (which can be expanded if necessary), as well as a mobile version for three rolls.
Mobile Background System
The mobile STH background system offers maximum flexibility for use in large studios. Up to three rolls - in either 2.90 meter or 3.60 meter widths - can be easily moved to any location within your studio, minimizing the time and physical effort required for smooth workflows. It is ready for use wherever you need it.
Motorized Lowering System
A motorized lowering system for the entire steel axle is particularly suitable for studios with high ceilings. It offers a cost-effective alternative to a permanent cove, allowing the paper roll to be positioned high up and conveniently lowered to floor level for roll changes. At the same time, it enables the quick and easy setup of direct backlighting or steep grazing light from the rear whenever needed.
We would be happy to use our extensive experience to assist you in planning and implementing the ideal background solution for your specific needs. You can also find a wide range of background paper colors in our shop HERE.
